A Washington No-Contact Order — Human Trafficking / Promoting Prostitution is a court order issued by the state of Washington that prohibits contact between two or more people related to the promotion of prostitution or human trafficking. It prohibits any communication, contact, or communication between the individuals mentioned in the order. This order can be issued by the judge in any criminal prosecution involving human trafficking or promoting prostitution, and can be issued to the accused, the victims, or any other person related to the crime. There are three types of No-Contact Orders: Emergency No-Contact Order, Temporary No-Contact Order, and Permanent No-Contact Order. An Emergency No-Contact Order is issued in cases of immediate danger and is effective for up to 72 hours. A Temporary No-Contact Order is effective for up to 14 days, and a Permanent No-Contact Order can be issued for any amount of time. These orders are meant to protect the victims of these crimes and to prevent further harm from being done.
