A Washington Order on Motion to Reinstate a Parenting/Custody Order (Military Parent) is a court order issued by a Washington state court which restores a prior order granting custody or parenting rights to a parent who is a member of the United States military. This order is typically issued when the military parent has been absent from the home due to deployment, and is intended to ensure that the military parent is able to exercise their rights as a parent. There are two types of Washington Order on Motion to Reinstate a Parenting/Custody Order (Military Parent): Temporary and Permanent. A Temporary Order is issued when a military parent is temporarily absent from the home due to deployment and requires the other parent to allow visitation with the military parent while the deployment is in effect. A Permanent Order is issued when the military parent has permanently left the home due to deployment and requires the other parent to allow visitation with the military parent until the deployment is over.
