Washington Offender Registration Attachment is an attachment to the Washington State Offender Registration Act (SORT) which requires the registration of all persons convicted of certain sex crimes and crimes against children. This law requires the registration of both adult and juvenile offenders. There are four types of Washington Offender Registration Attachment: Level I, Level II, Level III, and Level IV. Level I offenders are those who have committed the least serious types of sex offenses and crimes against children and are at the lowest risk of re-offending. Level II offenders have committed more serious sex offenses and crimes against children and pose a higher risk of re-offending. Level III offenders have committed the most serious types of sex offenses and crimes against children and pose the highest risk of re-offending. Level IV offenders are those who have committed violent sex crimes and crimes against children and pose a very high risk of re-offending.
