Washington Orders Regarding Inspection of Records is a court order issued by the Superior Court of the State of Washington that allows a party to a lawsuit to review and inspect records and documents held by the other party. This order is similar to a discovery request, in which a party seeks information related to the lawsuit from the other party. The Washington Order Regarding Inspection of Records requires the party in possession of the records to produce them for inspection and copying by the requesting party. It also requires the party in possession of the records to allow the requesting party to take photographs, make copies, or otherwise use the records for the purpose of the litigation. There are two types of Washington Order Regarding Inspection of Records: general orders, which are issued when both parties agree to the inspection, and specific orders, which are issued when one party objects to the inspection.
