Washington Order and Authorization Re Health Care and Education is an executive order issued by the State of Washington in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. It enables healthcare providers to provide services remotely, by telehealth or through other means. It also authorizes the Secretary of the Department of Health to allow flexibility in the delivery of healthcare services, including expanded access to telehealth services, the use of virtual visits, and the use of telehealth in the home. Additionally, it allows schools and institutions of higher education to provide educational services remotely and to offer distance learning programs to fulfill educational requirements. There are two types of Washington Order and Authorization Re Health Care and Education: 1) Emergency Order and 2) Temporary Authorization. The Emergency Order allows health care providers to provide services remotely, while the Temporary Authorization allows for the use of telehealth for home healthcare services.
