Washington Resource Utilization Group (RUG) Residential Care Services for Injured Workers is a program that provides medical and rehabilitation services for injured workers in Washington State who are unable to return to work. Services are provided in a residential setting that is staffed with qualified professionals and designed to optimize the injured worker’s recovery. RUG Residential Care Services are available for short-term or long-term care and include medical and rehabilitative services, counseling, life skills training, vocational rehabilitation, and more. There are three types of RUG Residential Care Services for Injured Workers: Supported Living, Adult Family Home, and Assisted Living. Supported Living offers a supervised, residential environment where services are provided to help the injured worker adjust to a new lifestyle. Adult Family Home is a residential care option that provides a supportive environment for the injured worker, including assistance with daily living and recreational activities. Assisted Living is a more structured environment that provides rehabilitation services, nursing care, and other support for the injured worker.
