Washington Application for Electrical Contractors License is an application submitted to the Washington State Department of Labor & Industries in order to obtain a license that allows for the performance of electrical work in the state. The application must be completed and submitted with the appropriate fees in order to be considered. There are two types of Washington Application for Electrical Contractors License: Master Electrician and Journeyman Electrician. The Master Electrician application requires the applicant to have completed a minimum of 8,000 hours of electrical work experience. The Journeyman Electrician application requires the applicant to have completed a minimum of 4,000 hours of electrical work experience. Both applications require the applicant to submit proof of their experience, such as transcripts, proof of apprenticeship or certificate of completion. In addition, the applicant must submit proof of insurance and a written business plan. Upon completion and submission of the application, the Washington State Department of Labor & Industries will review the application and issue a license if the applicant meets all the requirements.
