The Washington Department of Labor & Industries (L&I) is the state's primary agency for workplace safety and health, workers’ compensation, and labor standards. Their organizational chart outlines the structure of the department and its various divisions. The chart is generally divided into five main divisions: Executive & Chief Operating Officer, Economic & Employment Services, Health & Safety, Workers' Compensation and Special Programs. Each division is further divided into smaller sections, with each section having its own specific purpose. The Executive & Chief Operating Officer oversees the entire department, including all divisions and sections. The Economic & Employment Services division is responsible for providing resources and services to employers and job seekers, as well as monitoring employment laws and regulations. The Health & Safety division is responsible for developing and enforcing workplace safety and health regulations and standards, as well as providing safety and health training. The Workers' Compensation division is responsible for providing workers' compensation benefits to injured workers and their families. The Special Programs division is responsible for providing assistance to workers in specific trades and industries, as well as addressing issues related to labor disputes. There are two types of Washington Department of Labor & Industries Organizational Chart: a hierarchical chart which outlines the various divisions and sections, and a programmatic chart which outlines the various programs and services offered by each division.
