Washington Electrical Education Instructor Application is the process for individuals to become certified to teach electrical courses in Washington. This application requires applicants to complete a background check, provide training and/or experience in electrical courses, and pass a certification exam. The application has two types: Master Electrician and Journeyman Electrician. To become a Master Electrician, applicants must have eight years of experience in the electrical industry, five years of which must be in electrical instruction. To become a Journeyman Electrician, applicants must have four years of experience in the electrical industry, two years of which must be in electrical instruction. Once the application is approved, applicants will receive a Washington State Electrical Education Instructor Certificate.
