Washington Fall Protection: Responding to Emergencies is a safety training program from the Washington State Department of Labor and Industries. This program is designed to help employers and employees in the state of Washington prevent and respond to fall-related accidents and emergencies. The program covers topics such as safety planning, fall protection systems, hazard recognition, rescue techniques, and medical aid. The program also provides information on the Washington state fall protection regulations and guidance on how to create a safe workplace. There are two types of Washington Fall Protection: Responding to Emergencies training; Initial training and Refresher training. Initial training is designed for those who are new to fall protection and is intended to provide them with the basics and core competencies to safely work at height. Refresher training is for those who have already completed initial training and provides them with an overview of the latest fall protection regulations and guidance, as well as a review of the core competencies.
