Washington Helping Providers Understand the Crime Victims Compensation Program (WASH-CVC) is an initiative that provides information and training to professionals, such as health care providers, law enforcement officers, social workers, and legal professionals, about the Washington State Crime Victims Compensation Program (CVC). The CVC Program provides financial assistance to victims of crime who have suffered physical or psychological injury as a result of a criminal act. WASH-CVC provides guidance on how to apply for CVC funds, eligibility requirements, and how to access other resources available to victims of crime. WASH-CVC also hosts webinars, training sessions, and other events to help providers better understand the CVC Program. There are two types of WASH-CVC programs: 1) a Basic Program, which provides basic information about the CVC Program, and 2) an Advanced Program, which provides more detailed information on the CVC Program and how to apply for assistance.
