Washington Home Modification for Workers with Catastrophic Injuries is a program designed to provide home modifications and related services to workers who have suffered a catastrophic injury on the job. This program is administered by the Washington State Department of Labor and Industries (L&I). It is available to those who have suffered a work-related injury that has resulted in a disability that substantially limits their ability to perform activities of daily living or a significant change in their lifestyle. This program provides financial assistance for home modifications, such as wheelchair ramps, widened doorways, and stair glides, as well as other home modifications such as grab bars, shower seats, and kitchen appliances specifically designed for those with disabilities. Additionally, the program provides funding for related services, such as installation of the modifications, design services, and maintenance and repair services.
