Injured Workers: Leaving Washington, But Still Need Treatment is a program that assists those who have been injured while working in Washington State, but are no longer able to stay in the state to receive medical treatment. This program assists injured workers who are leaving Washington and still need medical care for their work-related injuries. The program provides financial assistance for medical bills related to the injury and may also cover travel expenses. In addition, the program may also provide vocational rehabilitation services and job search assistance for those who are unable to return to their prior job. There are two types of Injured Workers: Leaving Washington, But Still Need Treatment: Permanent and Temporary. The Permanent program is for those who are unable to return to their job due to their injury and require long-term medical treatment. The Temporary program is for those who are able to return to their job, but still require assistance with medical bills or travel expenses.
