Washington Reports All Injuries Promptly (WRAP) is a mandate issued by the Washington State Department of Labor and Industries, requiring employers to report any workplace injury or illness that requires medical treatment beyond first aid. This includes injuries and illnesses resulting from an accident, exposure to hazardous substances, or a repetitive motion. The goal of the program is to promote workplace safety by identifying and addressing hazards before they cause serious injury or illness. WRAP consists of two parts: Injury and Illness Reporting and Injury and Illness Prevention Programs. The Injury and Illness Reporting portion requires employers to report to the Department of Labor and Industries any workplace injuries or illnesses that require medical treatment or time away from work. The Injury and Illness Prevention Program requires employers to develop written safety programs, provide safety training, and maintain records of hazards identified and corrective actions taken. There are three types of Washington Report All Injuries Promptly: 1. Injury and Illness Reporting: Employers must report any workplace injuries or illnesses that require medical treatment or time away from work. 2. Injury and Illness Prevention Program: Employers must develop written safety programs, provide safety training, and maintain records of hazards identified and corrective actions taken. 3. Safety and Health Core Rules: Employers must comply with safety and health core rules, which include requirements for hazard prevention, emergency response, and personal protective equipment.
