Walk Don't Run is the debut studio album by American instrumental surf rock band The Ventures, released in 1960 by Dolton Records.

"Walk, Don't Run" is an instrumental composition written and originally recorded by jazz guitarist Johnny Smith in 1954. It was later adapted and re-recorded by Chet Atkins in 1956, and was a track on the LP Hi-Fi In Focus.

"Walk On By" was composed by Burt Bacharach, with lyrics by Hal David, in 1964. Originally recorded that same year by vocalist Dionne Warwick, the song was featured on her album Make Way for Dionne Warwick.

As for the band members, Wilson was the sole surviving member of The Ventures. Drummer Taylor passed away in 1996. Bogle died in 2009 followed by lead guitarist Edwards in 2018 and guitarist Gerry McGee in 2019 (joined the band in 1968).
