Washington Contractor's License Bond Amount Rider is a document that is required by the State of Washington in order to grant a contractor’s license. This rider allows the contractor to increase the amount of their contractor’s licensbondnd amount—up to twice the amount of the initial bond. The rider must be signed by the contractor and the surety company before it can be approved by the state. There are two types of Washington Contractor's License Bond Amount Rider: 1. Standard Rider: This rider allows the contractor to increase the amount of their contractor’s licensbondnd amount—up to twice the amount of the initial bond. 2. Special Rider: This rider allows the contractor to increase the amount of their contractor’s licensbondnd amount beyond what is allowed by the Standard Rider. The Special Rider must be approved by the state before it can be used.
