A Wisconsin Subpoena to Produce Documents, Information, or Objects or to Permit Inspection of Premises Ina Bankruptcy Case (or Adversary Proceeding) is an official court document used to compel a witness to appear in court and/or produce documents, information, or objects for use in a bankruptcy or adversary proceeding. The Wisconsin Subpoena is issued by the court and delivered to the witness by a sheriff, process server, or other authorized individual. The subpoena must be served on the witness before they can be compelled to appear in court or provide the requested documents, information, or objects. There are two types of Wisconsin Subpoena: 1. Subpoena Ducks Cecum: This type of subpoena requires the witness to produce specified documents, information, or objects for use in the bankruptcy or adversary proceeding. 2. Subpoena Ad Testificandum: This type of subpoena requires the witness to appear in court to testify as a witness in the bankruptcy or adversary proceeding. Both types of Wisconsin Subpoena must be properly served on the witness before they can be enforced by the court. The witness must be given reasonable advance notice of the time and location of the appearance or production of documents. The Wisconsin Subpoena must be signed by the court clerk or judge and must include the name of the person or entity to whom it is directed, the date and time of the appearance or production, and the nature of the documents, information, or objects to be produced.
