Wisconsin Appearance of Child Support Creditor or Representative is an individual or entity appointed by the court to represent a parent, guardian, or custodian in a child support case. This individual or entity, referred to as a "representative" in the Wisconsin State Statutes, is responsible for making sure that the child's best interests are taken into account. The representative has the authority to enter into binding agreements on behalf of the parent, guardian, or custodian, and can also represent them in court proceedings. There are two types of representatives in Wisconsin: a representative appointed by the court and a representative appointed by an attorney. The representative appointed by the court is called a Court Appointed Representative (CAR) and is responsible for ensuring that the child's best interests are met and for making sure the parent, guardian, or custodian complies with the court orders. The representative appointed by an attorney is called an Attorney Appointed Representative (AAR) and is responsible for representing the parent, guardian, or custodian in court and for providing legal advice and representation.
