Wisconsin Child Labor Work Permits (Brown Clerk of Court) are legal documents that allow minors to work in certain types of jobs. A Wisconsin Child Labor Work Permit is required for any individual under the age of 18 who wishes to be employed in the state of Wisconsin. There are two types of permits: the Wisconsin Child Labor Work Permit A and the Wisconsin Child Labor Work Permit B. The Wisconsin Child Labor Work Permit A is required for minors who are between the ages of 14 and 15 and are working in certain occupations, such as transportation, manufacturing, or retail. The Wisconsin Child Labor Work Permit B is required for minors who are between the ages of 16 and 17 and are working in certain occupations, such as construction, farm work, or clerical and office work. Both types of permits must be obtained from the Brown County Clerk of Courts office. In addition to obtaining the permit, the minor must also comply with all applicable Wisconsin child labor laws.
