The Wisconsin Plan of Library Service 2015 – 2018 is a statewide plan that provides a framework for library development and services in Wisconsin. The plan establishes four areas of focus: Access, Learning, Digital Services, and Community Engagement. These areas are further divided into specific goals and objectives that libraries can use to help meet the needs of their communities. The plan also outlines strategies for creating and sustaining successful library services that serve the citizens of Wisconsin. The Wisconsin Plan of Library Service 2015 – 2018 includes two types of plans: the Core Plan and the Enhanced Plan. The Core Plan outlines the statewide goals and objectives, and is intended to be used by all Wisconsin libraries regardless of size or resources. The Enhanced Plan is an optional supplement to the Core Plan, and includes additional goals and objectives that are tailored to meet the needs of larger libraries. Both plans provide guidance for library administrators and staff on how to best serve their communities.
