The Wisconsin Back to Work / School Breastfeeding Plan is a state-wide initiative designed to help mothers who are returning to work or school after having a baby. The plan provides resources to employers, schools, and health care providers to create a supportive environment for new moms who are breastfeeding. The plan covers a range of topics related to breastfeeding, including: creating a supportive workplace and school environment; providing resources for mothers to continue breastfeeding; providing information on the economic and health benefits of breastfeeding; and offering support to mothers who are transitioning back to work or school. There are two types of Wisconsin Back to Work / School Breastfeeding Plans: the Employer Plan and the School Plan. The Employer Plan provides employers with resources to create a workplace environment that encourages and supports breastfeeding. It includes information on workplace policies, employee education and training, and lactation support. The School Plan provides similar resources for schools to create a supportive environment for new moms. This includes information on policies, staff training, and support for lactation in the school setting.
