Wisconsin Project Criteria-R is a set of criteria used to evaluate the proliferation risk of a potential supplier. It is used to assess the risk of nuclear, chemical, biological, and missile proliferation posed by a supplier’s activities, products, and services. The criteria are divided into five categories: Nuclear and Missile Technology, Chemical Weapons Technology, Biological Weapons Technology, Other Weapons of Mass Destruction, and Conventional Weapons Technology. The criteria assess the supplier’s compliance with export control regulations, its involvement in sensitive activities, its history of compliance, its relationships with proliferation-sensitive entities, and its activities which might contribute to the proliferation of Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD). The criteria are used by the Wisconsin Project on Nuclear Arms Control to evaluate suppliers and vendors to determine if they pose a risk for contributing to the development, production, or transfer of WMD.
