A Wisconsin Order to Enforce Physical Placement Order is a court order issued by a Wisconsin court in order to enforce physical placement of a child who is subject to a court order for legal custody or physical placement. This order is used when a parent who is obligated to provide physical placement of a child has failed to comply with the court order. This type of order is typically used when a parent has denied the other parent their court ordered visitation or has failed to return the child after the court-ordered visitation period. There are two types of Wisconsin Order to Enforce Physical Placement Order: Writ of Habeas Corpus and Writ of Assistance. A Writ of Habeas Corpus is an order issued by the court that requires the custodial parent to bring the child to court or to another location designated by the court in order for the court to verify the child’s physical placement. A Writ of Assistance is an order issued by the court that authorizes law enforcement to physically remove the child from the custodial parent’s home and to return the child to the court or to another designated location.
