Wisconsin Adjudication and Prohibited Possession of Firearms Cancellation Report (WPF-3) is a form used by Wisconsin residents to apply for the cancellation of a prohibition against owning or possessing firearms. This form is used when a person has been convicted of a crime that would render them ineligible for gun ownership or possession, or if they are subject to a court order or other legal proceedings that prohibit them from owning or possessing firearms. This form must be completed and submitted to the Wisconsin Department of Justice (DOJ) by the applicant, and upon approval, the prohibition will be removed. There are two types of Wisconsin Adjudication and Prohibited Possession of Firearms Cancellation Report: a voluntary cancellation, and a mandatory cancellation. A voluntary cancellation is when a person has been convicted of a crime that renders them ineligible for gun ownership or possession, but they wish to apply for the cancellation of their prohibition anyway. A mandatory cancellation is when a person is subject to a court order or other legal proceedings that prohibit them from owning or possessing firearms, and they must apply for the cancellation of their prohibition in order to be legally allowed to own or possess firearms.
