A Wisconsin Order on Stipulation to Revise Dispositional Order is a court order issued after a hearing in which the parties have agreed to modify the dispositional order previously issued by the court. It is typically used to modify the terms of an existing dispositional order such as change of placement, guardianship or legal custody arrangements, or to grant or deny requests for modifications or extensions of existing orders. There are three types of Wisconsin Order on Stipulation to Revise Dispositional Order: 1) Consent Orders, 2) Contested Orders, and 3) Emergency Orders. Consent Orders are issued when both parties agree to the terms and conditions of the order and have signed a stipulation to that effect. Contested Orders are issued when the parties do not agree to the terms and conditions of the order and the court must make a ruling on the matter. Emergency Orders are issued when the court finds that an immediate change of placement is necessary to protect the safety of the child or the child’s family.
