The Wisconsin Order for Extension of Dispositional Order or Consent Decree (In-Home Placement Only) is a court order that is issued to extend the dispositional order or consent decree for a minor who is placed in an in-home setting in Wisconsin. This order can be extended for up to six months, and must be renewed if the minor remains in the home after the original dispositional period has ended. There are two types of Wisconsin Order for Extension of Dispositional Order or Consent Decree (In-Home Placement Only): Short-Term Extension and Long-Term Extension. The Short-Term Extension is issued for up to three months and the Long-Term Extension is issued for up to six months. Both extensions require the consent of the court, the minor's parent or legal guardian, and the local child protective services' agency. The order will also specify the conditions under which the minor will remain in the home, including any services that must be provided to the minor or the family, as well as any supervision or restrictions that must be in place.
