A Wyoming Transcript Redaction Request is a process designed to protect the privacy of individuals by redacting or removing personal information from transcripts issued by the Wyoming Department of Education. This request can be used to remove the student's name, Social Security number, date of birth, or any other personally identifiable information from the transcript. There are two types of Wyoming Transcript Redaction Request: (1) Individual Redaction Request and (2) Bulk Redaction Request. The Individual Redaction Request is used when an individual student’s information needs to be redacted from a transcript, while Bulk Redaction Request is used for multiple students’ transcripts that need to be redacted. The request must be submitted to the Wyoming Department of Education, and the redacted transcript will be sent directly to the student or to the authorized third party.
