Wyoming Cancellation of Certificate is a document issued by the Wyoming Secretary of State's office that cancels a previously filed certificate. It is an important step in the dissolution of a Wyoming business entity and must be completed before a company can be legally dissolved. There are two types of Wyoming Cancellation of Certificate: (1) Certificate of Cancellation of a Foreign Entity, which is used to cancel a foreign business entity that is registered in Wyoming; and (2) Certificate of Cancellation of a Domestic Entity, which is used to cancel a domestic business entity that is registered in Wyoming. Both types of certificates must be filed with the Secretary of State's office and must include the name of the business entity, the date of the certificate, the name and address of the registered agent, and the signature of the authorized person. Once the certificate is approved, the business entity will be officially dissolved.
