Add Columns Document For Free

If you want to insert a really large number of columns, then Google Sheets has a great option that lets you insert 26 columns at a time. You can then just keep adding columns in multiples of 26 at a time.

The easiest method I've found is to right-click in the the last cell or row of the table and select "Insert row below." The press Ctrl + Y as many times as necessary to repeat the last action and add additional rows.

With this addition, Google Docs continues to inch closer to the capabilities of Microsoft Word. To start using columns in your file, click the Format menu, point to Columns, and choose either two or three columns. You can also click the More Options option for some additional choices.
