Click the Print Settings tab. Under Headers and Footers, click Header or Footer. In the Header Format or Footer Format dialog box, type any text you want in the Print form with this header or Print form with this footer box. Place your cursor where you want the data from the form to appear.

These options allow you to create distinctive, branded Notes and Handout pages. Unlike slides which are primarily presented through a display device such as a monitor, TV screen or projector, the Notes and Handout pages in PowerPoint are essentially intended for printing.

Go to Insert > Header or Footer. Select Edit Header or Edit Footer. Select Quick Parts, and select Field. In the Field names list, choose the field you want (such as FileName, Date, Author, or Title), choose the format you want in the Field properties section.

To insert headers and footers in PowerPoint, open your presentation, and then click Insert. In the Text group, click Header and Footer. When the window opens, you'll be in the Slide tab.

Headers and footers generally contain additional information such as page numbers, dates, an author's name, and footnotes, which can help keep longer documents organized and make them easier to read. Text entered in the header or footer will appear on each page of the document.

Select the top slide, go to the Text group under the Insert tab, and then click Text Box. Click and dragging your cursor to draw a header text box in the appropriate location, and then type your text. When you return to View > Normal, your new header box will appear at the top of each slide.

Add a standard or customized header or footerGo to Insert > Header or Footer.Choose from a list of standard headers or footers, go to the list of Header or Footer options, and select the header or footer that you want.When you're done, select Close Header and Footer or press Esc.

Add a header or footer to the printed handout On the Home tab, under Insert, click Text, and then click Header and Footer. On the Notes and Handouts tab, select Header, and then type the text you want. On the Notes and Handouts tab, select Footer, and then type the text you want. Click Apply to All.

Enter your content in the footer. Click on the Options button at the top of the header, go to Footer Format, and make sure that the footer applies to only this section. Now go to the footer of next page and UN-check the box for "Link to previous." Now your footer will be only on that one page.
