Quarantine. Sometimes junk mail goes into a Quarantine state because the message is spam-ish or potentially malicious. Like Junk mail, you can choose to move Quarantined messages to your inbox or delete it. After two weeks, the quarantined messages will expire and not be accessible.

To access and configure the Office 365 whitelist open up the Office 365 Security Center, aka Microsoft 365 Defender. (you can also click Security in the Microsoft 365 Admin Center). Then click ?Add Senders?, ?Done?, and ?Save? to commit your changes.

Access Office 365 Quarantine and Release Quarantined Messages Find and select the message you want to release from quarantine. Click on the envelope icon to release the message. Click "Yes" on the warning message asking you to confirm that you want to release the message.

Release quarantined email On the Email tab: Select Release. In the details flyout of the selected message: Select Release email.

From the Domain Level Control Panel, select Incoming > Spam quarantine. The Spam quarantine page is displayed, showing all quarantined messages for this domain. Click on the dropdown to the left of the message and select Block sender and remove from quarantine.

To view your quarantined emails, go to https://protection.office.com/quarantine. Once there, you can select specific messages to view details about it and take actions on it such as viewing, releasing, downloading, or deleting the message. Emails in quarantine stay there for 15 days and are then deleted.
