On the Home tab, in the Paragraph group, click Show/Hide to show all formatting marks including page breaks. Double-click the page break to select it, then press Delete. Click Show/Hide again to hide the remaining formatting marks in the document.

Troubleshooting with the page break function You can't remove manual page breaks in Word while you have Track Changes switched on. To turn off Track Changes, go to the Review tab in the top ribbon, click Track Changes and then Track Changes again. Turn off Track Changes by clicking Track Changes in the drop-down menu.

Select Home > Show/Hide . This will display non-printing characters?paragraph markers, section breaks, page breaks, etc. ?that you may want to see while you're working on your document. Double-click the page break so that it's selected, and then press Delete.

Adjust automatic page breaks Select the paragraph following the unwanted page break. On the Format menu, select Paragraph, and then select the Line and Page Breaks tab. Clear the Keep lines together, Keep with next, and Page break before check boxes.

Note: You can only delete the page breaks that you've added to your documents. You can't delete the page breaks that Word adds automatically as text flows from one page to the next.

When you type a document with more than a page of words, Microsoft Word's default formatting moves the text to a new page after filling the first page. As you add or delete information, the text might move from one page to another.
