Click on gear icon then Setup > Object Manager.Choose the object > Page Layouts.Select the page layout that you use on the object.Click on the wrench icon beside the custom field that you will make required.Select the Required checkbox.Click on Ok, then click on Save.

Make a field mandatoryRight-click the field's label in the form and select Configure Dictionary.In the Dictionary form, select the Mandatory check box.Click Update. The next time the form is opened, a field status indicator appears next to the field label, indicating that a value is mandatory.

A required question means the form owner requires an answer for that question before you can submit the form. If you have no response to this field, you can fill in None, Nil, Not Available, Does not apply to me, 0, or other related answers.
