Waived Tuition for Senior Citizens in Maine The Senior Citizens Waiver offers tuition and Board approved mandatory fees for students 65 years of age or older who register for undergraduate courses on a credit or audit basis at any university within the University of Maine System.

The tuition waiver allows students who are in the care of the Maine Department of Health and Human Services, were adopted from DHHS, or are under permanent guardianship through DHHS, to receive free tuition to one of the colleges in Maine's Community College System.

The tuition and fee waiver encompasses 100% of tuition and fees for state-supported courses, subject to budgetary appropriation, at all of the Massachusetts public institutions of higher education, excluding graduate courses and courses in the MD program at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center.
