A hidden attribute on an <option> tag hides the option. Although the option is not visible, its position on the page is maintained.

The drop-down is used to create a list of items that need to select an element. We use <select> and <option> elements to create a drop-down list and use disabled attribute in <select> element to disable the drop-down list element.

Use the CSS :hover pseudo-class If you simply want to show and hide dropdown menu on mouse hover you don't need any JavaScript. You can do this simply using the CSS display property and :hover pseudo-class.

After selecting the list, click the icon at the end of the displayed field to get back to the dialog box. The worksheet with the DropDown list can then be hidden. Just right click the worksheet tab name and select Hide.

Select the View tab, click on the Macros menu on the far right and then choose the macro/code you've just pasted in. It should be the first one on the menu. Select it, click Run, and all the arrows will disappear from the table.
