It's a mark that's placed on a document, making it legally binding ? held accountable in the court of law. An acceptable, legally binding signature can be as simple as the individual putting a mark on the document. The law doesn't dictate what the signature looks like concerning its shape.

Updated August 19, 2020: A legally binding signature makes an agreement official once all parties have placed their signatures on a contract. Signatures are the most common method of indicating that you have read over and agreed to the terms, even if a person's signature is so stylized and unique that's illegible.

Still, you can lawfully void a contract under exceptional circumstances. A contract must have certain elements to make it valid. If those elements are not present, then the contract is void, even if both parties signed it.

For security reasons, you're only allowed to remove your own signature. If someone else has already signed the PDF, the only way to remove their signature is to ask the signer to edit the document. If you're having trouble removing your own signature, try updating your Digital ID in your PDF editor.

You can't rescind a signature once you have signed a contract legally. There may be termination clauses in the contract that can be exercised or otherwise the contract may be rescinded on grounds that it is null and void due to lack of legal capacity or otherwise if the contract was signed under duress.

To clear a digital signature, right-click the field and select "Clear Signature". To remove the field, active the Select Object tool, click the field to select it, and the delete it.

Sign in to your Adobe Sign Privacy Admin account. Navigate to the Privacy interface: Account > Privacy. Search for the email address of the Sender of the agreement. Scroll through the agreements that are returned and find the one you want to delete. Single click the agreement to select it.
