Select a symbol to use as a bullet from among those shown. You can select a different set of symbols by selecting a different typeface in the Font drop-down list. When you have selected a symbol, click on OK. Word displays the Customize Bulleted List dialog box again.

This feature works the same in all modern versions of Microsoft Word: 2010, 2013, and 2016. From the Home tab, in the Paragraph group, select the Bullets drop-down list.Select a bullet character and alignment options, and click OK . The custom bullet is inserted.

Highlight the bulleted list for which you want to change the bullets to pictures. Click the down arrow on the Bullets button in the Paragraph section of the Home tab and select Define New Bullet from the drop-down menu. On the Define New Bullet dialog box, click Picture.
