How to change the Author name on comments in Microsoft WordOpen the Word document.Click Review in the toolbar.Click Track Changes.Click Markup Options.Select Preferences in the drop-down.Click Show All.Select Users Information.Change Name.

1. In an opened Word document, click File > Options. In the Word Options window, make sure you are locating in the General tab, change the name in the User name box as below screenshot shown, and finally click the OK button. Now you have changed the default user name for comments in Word document.

Use Word>Preferences>Security>Privacy Options..."Remove personal information..." That will remove your Name but leave the comments in place.

With the document open go to the Review tab, then click the Protect Document button (or go to Tools> Protect Document). The check box for Remove personal information from this file on save is at the very bottom.
