Go to Home > Line and Paragraph Spacing. Select Line Spacing Options, and then choose the options you want under Spacing. To change the spacing before or after the selected paragraphs, select the arrow next to Before or After and enter the amount of space that you want.

In Python, the new line character \\n is used to create a new line. When inserted in a string all the characters after the character are added to a new line. Essentially the occurrence of the \\n indicates that the line ends here and the remaining characters would be displayed in a new line.

That would be because the paragraph(s) in which your are typing are formatted to have the text justified.
