We can update the multiple rows of the table using the single update command.

We can update multiple columns in SQL using the UPDATE command. The UPDATE statement is followed by a SET statement, which specifies the column(s) where the update is required. Syntax: At first, we use the UPDATE command with the name of the table whose columns have to be updated.

You can use the ALTER table command to change the length of a varchar column. You can increase the length of a varchar column to a maximum size of 64,000.

MySQL UPDATE command can be used to update multiple columns by specifying a comma separated list of column_name = new_value. Where column_name is the name of the column to be updated and new_value is the new value with which the column will be updated.

Using UPDATE statement, multiple rows and columns in a table can also be updated. To update multiple rows, specify the condition in a WHERE clause such that only the required rows would satisfy it. However, to update multiple columns, set the new values to all the columns that need to be updated.
