Students will also be unable to view their grades, including grade and score changes, instructor submission comments, Canvas DocViewer comments, and curved grades for the assignment. Students can still see and submit the assignment and will be informed on the student grades page that assignment grades are hidden.

You can toggle between students using the drop-down in the right-hand corner of the Student Annotations page, and you can click See Latest Annotations to see a live update of new annotations added by that student in real time.

Start by creating an assignment. Once you get to the Submission Type, select Online Submission. Make sure to check the box Student Annotation. Consider selecting multiple submission types to accommodate students who may not be able to create annotations. After you select Student Annotation you will attach the file.

Click on the Canvas Student app to see notification details. Ensure that the button toggle is blue, which means that the notifications for this app is turned on. You can also make sure notifications are enabled by going through Apps instead.
