Article 19: Everyone has the right to freedom of opinion and expression; this right includes freedom to hold opinions without interference and to seek, receive and impart information and ideas through any media and regardless of frontiers.

The First Amendment prohibits the government from abridging ?the right of the people peaceably to assemble.? This basic freedom ensures that individuals can gather together to advocate for causes, beliefs, movements, or protests.

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

The First Amendment protects peaceful, not violent, assembly. However, there must a ?clear and present danger? or an ?imminent incitement of lawlessness? before government officials may restrict free-assembly rights.

170. Composition of the Legislative Assemblies. (1) Subject to the provisions of Article 333, the Legislative Assembly of each State shall consist of not more than five hundred, and not less than sixty, members chosen by direct election from territorial constituencies in the State.

All citizens have the right to assemble peacefully and without arms. This right is subject to reasonable restrictions in the interest of the sovereignty and integrity of India and public order.

Article 176 And Article 175 In ance with article 175 of the Indian Constitution, the Governor may choose to convey a message or address the House and call it (or the two Houses) to hear his speech. However, no such choice under Article 176 of the Constitution he has.

Article 19(1)(b) guarantees the freedom to assemble in peace and without armaments. This includes the right to conduct public meetings, go on hunger strikes, and march in processions. The gathering, however, must be peaceful and without weapons.

Limits on Nonviolent Protests. Violence or the threat of violence isn't the only limit on the right of assembly. Authorities may also prevent or stop gatherings that pose other immediate threats to public safety. Police routinely arrest protesters who block traffic on freeways or bridges.

The Universal Declaration of Human Rights. Everyone charged with a penal offence has the right to be presumed innocent until proven guilty.It states that everyone charged with a criminal offense shall have the right to be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
