First, specify the table name that you want to change data in the UPDATE clause. Second, assign a new value for the column that you want to update. In case you want to update data in multiple columns, each column = value pair is separated by a comma (,). Third, specify which rows you want to update in the WHERE clause.

To add columns to a document:Select the text you want to format.Click the Page Layout tab.Click the Columns command. A drop-down menu will appear. Adding columns.Select the number of columns you want to insert. The text will then format into columns.

Click the arrow next to the column that you want to change, and then select Column settings. In the menu, select the change that you want to make, such as formatting the column, moving left or right, hiding, or adding a column . The settings vary depending upon the type of column you are editing.

Double-check the column settings you have in place to make sure the formatting is configured as required. Select the section of the text you're working with, then choose "Columns" and "More Columns" from the Page Layout menu tab.

Under Content Types, click the name of the content type that you want to add a column to. Under Columns, click Add from existing site or list columns. In the Select Columns section, under Select columns from, click the arrow to select the group from which you want to add a column.

Use text boxes to create the columns. You can then resize each column independently. This will also work if you're dividing the page into columns first. Then stack text boxes consecutively within the columns and size them according to your needs.

At first, click Page Setup tab and then click Columns. Next choose Two to set the document in 2 columns.
