Footnotes appear at the bottom or foot of the page. You can therefore put extra information in a footnote, such as source details for a citation, without interrupting the flow of the main text. To indicate a footnote, you can add a superscript number to the text, such as at the end of this sentence.

To change the formatting of the footnote numbers, select the Footnotes Reference Style. If you want to change the formatting of the footnote text at the bottom of the page, select the Footnote Text Style. Click Modify, and then change the formatting options (font, size, and so on).

A footnote is a note that provides additional information or references for the reader. A footnote is indicated with a superscript numeral (like this1) within the text that corresponds to the same numeral at the bottom of the page, which is followed by the reference or additional information.

Click where you want to reference to the footnote or endnote. On the References tab, select Insert Footnote or Insert Endnote.

To Modify the footnote Style;Right mouse click the Footnote Text style 0192Choose Update Footnote Text to Match Selection from the list. The style will change and become the default but only in this document. Any existing and new footnotes will have this style as well.Apr 14, 2020
