Assign Spreadsheet Record For Free

Google Sheets lets you automate repetitive tasks with macros, and you can then bind them to keyboard shortcuts to execute them quickly. They work using Google Apps Script to capture your actions for later use.

Go into "Insert > Drawing...", Draw a button and add it to the spreadsheet. Than click it and click "assign Macro...", then insert the name of the function you wish to execute there. The function must be defined in a script in the spreadsheet.

Return to Sheets and insert an image or drawing by selecting Insert > Image or Insert > Drawing. After inserting the image or drawing, click it. A small drop-down menu selector will appear in the top right-hand corner. Click it and choose Assign script.
