This can be one of the easiest ways to redact a PDF without Adobe Pro. Open your chosen PDF in Preview. In the top right, there should be a Markup icon, click it. A reminder will appear in a dialog box, requesting you save a copy of your PDF, click OK. Select the text you want to redact.
