Instagram Highlights are essentially the Instagram stories you choose to feature on your profile permanently. If you add a story to a Highlight, it will be visible even after 24 hours, so it's a great way to keep your most successful stories running.

The Instagram highlight dimensions are the same as Instagram stories: 1080 pixels by 1920 pixels or within a aspect ratio. While only a small portion of the highlight cover will be shown on the profile page, you need to keep all your cover designs the same dimensions.

The proper sizing of an Instagram highlight cover will have square dimensions. I recommend using the dimensions 2000 x 2000 pixels and an aspect ratio of 1:1. This is similar to the Instagram profile picture size and uploads very similarly as well.

Note that there is no limit to how many Instagram stories highlights you can create and note that every time you turn a story to a highlight, that story will move to first position. After more than 5 highlights, your audience will have to scroll to see the other ones.
