A Certificate of Use and Occupancy (sometimes referred to as a "Certificate of Occupancy" or a CO) is a document that proves the building complies substantially with the plans and specifications that have been submitted and approved by the local fire and/or building authority.

The building official will issue you a Certificate of Occupancy (CO) after the building or structure has received a final inspection and no violations are found to the provisions of the building codes, life safety and applicable laws. Once a CO is issued, it can be downloaded from the Osceola County Permit Center.

Fees range from P6,000 and above depending on the your construction size, municipality location and the assessment plan. Fees in the provinces are usually cheaper than in the cities.

The Application for Certificate of Use is short and easy to fill out. Applications can be emailed to RER-CUINFO@miamidade.gov or submitted in person by appointment only at the Zoning Permit Section in the Permitting and Inspections Center.
