Change Numbers Record For Free

The first step you need to do is to create a Change master thru CC01 T-code. The system will give you one change number. Using this number you can change all the masters record. By default, you need to activate the change number, thru ABAP program, you need to activate this field as a mandatory.

The change number is a key used to combine changes to the geographical structures and associated master data (distribution, organizational structure) that are logically related to ensure that data is consistent.

If you change your number, chances are you'll inherit the previous owner's phone problems. Additionally, any number a phone carrier gives you will still be vulnerable to spam calls.

Change Number is used to uniquely identify a change master record. Whenever, you want to change any master data like Material Master or BOM, you can document the reasons, requestor or any other information you feel necessary in the change master record. It is first created in SAP through transaction code CC01.

If you have access rights to view tables in SAP, use transaction code SE16. Relevant tables are CDHDR (Change document header) and CDPOS (Change document positions). If you want to see the values that have been changed, use table CDPOS. If you know the number of the change document itself, use the filter 201eCHANGENR.

This change number is used to uniquely identify a change master record. If you are doing any change in the BOM you have to input this number while changing. This number is created with the transcation cc31 and is useful for tracking the change in the BOM or any other object.
