Cause 2: In Restrict Editing Protection Now you need to click Protect Document in the backstage. Then click Restrict Editing. On the right side of the document screen, you can see Restrict Formatting and Editing pane.Then enter password and click OK in Unprotect Document dialog box.

Highlight the text. Go to 'References' Click on the 'Add Text' pull-down menu. Check Do Not Show in Table of Contents.

Open the document you want to work in or create a new document. Select all the text in the document and then choose Insert2192Table2192Convert Text to Table. You can press Ctrl+A to select all the text in the document. The Convert Text to Table dialog box opens, as shown in this figure.

Click References, click Table of Contents, and then click Insert Table of Contents. (Again, you're going to replace the existing table of contents with the one you want.) Click Modify, click one of the heading levels, and then click Modify. Click Format, click Font, and then make the font changes you want.

To change all the text in the table, select the table; to change the text in specific cells, select the cells. In the Format sidebar, click the Text tab. Click the Style button, then use the text controls in the font section to change the font, size, colour or character style (such as bold or italic).

Select the rows or table you want to convert. Under the Table Tools tab, select the Layout tab. Select Convert to Text. Select what you want to separate the text with: Paragraph marks, Tabs, Commas, or Other.
